A manufacturing facility in Águeda, Portugal employs around 300 people and runs 24 hours a day with an average load of roughly 150 kW. Electricity was one of its largest operating costs, and any interruption hit production directly.

The site already had a 200 kW PV plant, but system limitations kept it from fully consuming its own clean energy. Hua Power was asked to design a single solution that could integrate the existing PV, expand generation, cut peak tariff exposure, and keep the 24-hour line running through grid disturbances.

One integrated platform
for PV + ESS.

Hua Power delivered a 500 kW / 1075 kWh user-side on/off-grid energy storage system built around the HC1075S Battery ESS Split Cabinet. Through AC coupling, the existing 200 kW PV plant and a newly installed 400 kW array were unified into a single 600 kW "PV + ESS" structure.

The platform supports self-consumption, grid export, and off-grid backup from the same hardware — meeting the factory’s round-the-clock demand while keeping PV, MPPT, and transformer modules integrated in a split-cabinet footprint that reduces cost and install time.
